Linda and Tom – June 12, 2010

I was honored last year when Linda asked me to photograph her wedding this June in New York at the Mount Vernon Museum. I met Linda years ago via Mike Calinoff (spotter for Nascar driver Matt Kenseth) and over the years pestered her with requests for Poison tickets and yet she still talked to me.  She’s a saint!

Linda and Tom had a beautiful ceremony outside in the Mount Vernon Museum Garden before moving inside to the Colonial Dames of America Abagail Adams Room for an amazing reception complete with confetti, bubbles and cake all over the groom’s face as well as the floor! Tom and Linda were serenaded beautifully by John’s husband, had a beautiful first dance and two wonderful toasts to the new couple.

As luck would have it the wedding took place the day before our vacation so this was one hectic day! I took the train up, almost had a full on panic attack when it was delayed, had a fantastic time covering one of the more entertaining receptions I have ever been a part of, and caught the train back to VA arriving home around 3am. Six hours later we were on the road to Kill Devil Hills!

Congratulations, Tom and Linda!  Here’s to many wonderful years together.
