This past summer, while shooting for the Washington Kastles, I was introduced to Stacey through our mutual friend, Tara. Stacey used to run the special events for the Washington Humane Society and Fashion For Paws. As Stacey and I were dispatched to get some nighttime shots of Kastles Stadium on The Warf we talked about our families, in between us getting slightly lost in DC. Stacey had recently given birth to her daughter, Ivy, and we chatted a little about that, my wife being pregnant with the twins, Holly and if I did family pictures, etc.
A few months later I received an email from Stacey asking if I could come do their family photos for this year. I was honored that Stacey would ask me and was happy to do it. A couple of weeks later I found myself in Maryland in their wonderful home with little Miss Ivy ready to pose and be the star she was born to be. Stacey had sent a detailed list (loved it!) of the photos she wanted and when I saw there were two dogs involved my only hope was that we could get both to sit still for a half a second so I could get one good picture. Kennsington and Diesel were two of the most well behaved dogs I’ve ever met and the shots with the two of them and Ivy are some of my favorites.
Stacey, Ari, Ivy, Kennsington and Diesel thank you for letting me take your pictures this year 🙂
